About

The Ohio Advisory Group (OAG) of the National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) showcases and advocates for women artists. Our members hail throughout the state, and are distinguished leaders who share a passion for the arts, and advocacy for women and nonbinary artists. The OAG is committed to extend the mission of NMWA.

The National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) is the first museum in the world solely dedicated to championing women through the arts. NMWA advocates for better representation of women artists and serves as a vital center for thought leadership, community engagement, and social change. The museum addresses the gender imbalance in the presentation of art by bringing to light important women artists of the past while promoting great women artists working today.

OUR SIGNATURE PROJECT

The Women to Watch (W2W) initiative shines a spotlight on women artists through exhibitions and programming featuring Ohio women artists both locally, and in Washington, DC. Works chosen include those by emerging and underrepresented women artists. We are delighted to lead this collaboration in partnership with the Ohio Arts Council, presenting exhibitions that reach multiple areas of our state.
